Adventure Hounds Board & Trains are holistic training programs designed to help regulate your dog's nervous system. They are typically 14-day programs where your dog learns new skills and a new lifestyle, and then goes back to your home like a brand new dog! Board & Trains are pivotal for owners who want to do what's best for their dog but don't know where to start. Board & Trains are a jumpstart so you can live life with a happier, calmer, more confident dog. They are not a magic-fix! You will be responsible with continuing training after your dog comes home and I’ll be with you to help!

Other B&Ts focus on the "right way" of training your dog. I train based on the goals that you have for you and your dog. I use a balance of rewards and corrections, rewarding engagement and relationship-based techniques. My dog training style is holistic and owner-supportive. I want to make your life easier, and I want to make your dog happier and more confident. Those are my main goals. Lifestyle dog training is FUNCTIONAL, not fancy.

Your dog becomes a part of my family (not in a facility). Your dogs are the only dogs I am training at the time. Full transparency: daily videos of your dogs in training + techniques.

You will be included in the entire process. I require owners to watch my Instagram stories for everyday of their dog's B&T. This helps you to see how I am working with your dog, and what it will look like when your dog returns home. Additionally, you will meet me for an initial consultation, a mid-way session and a final evaluation, as well as optional continued support. I will help you integrate your life with your dogs in a more sustainable way that is supportive to your dogs needs. Training is a lifestyle change, and I will be there with you every step of the way.

MIDWAY SESSION: 1-2 hours approximately 1 week in. Location depends on your goals. GO HOME SESSION: 2-3+ hours location depends on your goals (in your home + on a walk + in public.) ​ OPTIONAL ADD-ON: Weekly Virtual Follow-up sessions (at additional cost)

E-collars are effective, gentle, supportive tools for dogs and their owners. I offer puppy programs for dogs under 5 months old. These programs are focused on safely socializing the puppy, building confidence, overcoming fears, and building the foundational for general obedience like sit, down, stay and recall. Please reach out for further details!
