From Heel to Heal
Dog + Human Training Workshops
The root cause of dog problem behaviors isn't whether or not they know sit, down or heel. The root cause is nervous system dysregulation. The reactivity, leash pulling, overexcitement, fearfulness (and more) are symptoms of a deeper disruption within your dog's physiology. The Adventure Hounds approach has a focus on healing, not simply heeling. This workshop will outline how to create a regulated nervous system for the foundation to the training you do, as an owner or trainer.
Learn how dog training goes beyond "heel", "sit" and "down", and into nervous system healing.

What you will gain from a workshop:
-
A holistic understanding of how the dog + human nervous system plays a role in dog training
-
Leash work that invites connection and co-regulation, and a natural heel
-
How to work with the root cause of dog behavioral concerns, like reactivity, overexcitement, leash pulling, anxiety, fearfulness, etc.
-
How to meet a dog where they are -- Sam will demonstrate her approach to handling new dogs and we will work with behaviors as they arise
